Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited (Fortress) is driving the expansion of Eastport Logistics Park in Gauteng with new leases signed by Crusader Logistics and Liquor Runners.
Crusader Logistics has committed to a 10-year lease for a 19,970-square-meter warehouse, set to be completed by October 2025. This will be their second facility at Eastport, following the recent completion of a 19,787-square-meter warehouse in August 2023. The new facility will cater to various goods, including hazardous materials, and will incorporate cutting-edge features like solar power and rainwater harvesting.
Liquor Runners has also secured a five-year lease for a 31,481-square-meter warehouse, adjacent to Crusader Logistics’ new facility. This development is scheduled for completion by October 2025.
Jason Cooper, Head of Developments at Fortress, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting clients’ growth. He emphasized the seamless transition for Liquor Runners from their existing space at Longlake Logistics Park to their new, larger facility at Eastport.
In addition to these two major leases, Fortress is constructing a new 13,007-square-meter logistics facility at Eastport, scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026. This facility will feature advanced features like a post-tensioned concrete floor and energy-efficient lighting.
